I called this the killer as it took you from me A darkness fell upon the earth A plague of sickness had its birth It touched the baby's in the womb It came on mothers all to soon Fathers cried for there sons As it came upon there little ones Widows wept as men fell down Cancer had the victors crown Humans fought but in vain The cure was bad and caused great pain But the battle still goes on Great minds have studied all life long Ever feeding the hungry beast As human flesh becomes its feast Some have had a victory but others from this decease will not be free The death tole gets higher every day When will this evil thing go away To kill this thing before it kills us too For a cure we don't know what to do It eats the money that we give We feed it and we try to live Our loved ones faded away as we watched yesterday now just memories of the past Loved ones that did not last still no answer yet in sight we must keep up the fight
