A Tribute to Jim I watched you suffer everyday Waiting for the cancer to go away The chemo was meant to make it small But it didn't seem to help at all The chemo took your strength And every bit of health you had You went from being sick To really really bad Your cells broke down Your blood clotted all around You took gangrene And your leg went green They wanted to cut it off But your life would have been lost With the blood clots everywhere The surgery did not occur So I had to watch you die All I could do was sit and cry The pain that you went through I wished I could have taken it from you You were so very brave Your life they could not save So I had to say goodbye To a very special guy My partner and my friend Who loved me right to the end
